December 1: World AIDS day

Today is World AIDS day. According to UNAIDS 2006, around 1.3 million people live with the HIV virus in KENYA alone. In the Kibera slum, 1 out of 3 people are affected with AIDS.
Remember to pray for those affected by HIV/AIDS, whether it be that they are HIV positive or their family member is. There have been so many children orphaned by this disease and so often they have to be cared for by another family or community member. Pray also for those who have taken in orphans from this disease.

Psalm 71
"But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more." (14)

Revelations 21
"And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will b his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
