Joe and Felicity Congdon- MTW Tokyo
My husband and I met Joe and Felicity at our Church in 2011 and since then we have the opportunity to get to know them more through serving on the missions team together. They will be leaving this fall for Japan as long-term missionaries with Mission to the World in order to help with a Church plant in Tokyo called Grace Harbor.
Tokyo is the world's largest city and also the world's most expensive city to live in. It is at great cost and sacrifice for the Congdons as they trade the comforts of a traditional paid job to raising all their support. Yet the need for the Gospel to go out to Japan is overwhelming. In Japan, less than 1% are Christians, making the Japanese the 2nd largest unreached people group in the world.

"This summer I have been given the amazing opportunity to serve the Lord overseas. As a journalist who is also passionate about missions, I have been praying for God to open doors to use the gifts he has given me to meet tangible needs while proclaiming the Gospel to all nations. To be able to answer this call, I need to raise prayer support as well as financial support. I know the Lord will provide both in spades because he doesn't not give us a call and then leave us to fend for ourselves." -R.F.

Me: Joanna
I will be going to Haiti February 21-March 1 for a week-long medical mission trip with a team of around 17 medical and non medical people from Chicago and a few other Churches in the US.
The goal of our medical team is the continuation of building relationships and "cultivating vision" as we partner with El Shaddai Ministries International. The team plays a role in encouraging and providing assistance for the ongoing ministry in Haiti. My team will see children, teachers, staff, house mothers, and people of all ages in the community. We may see anywhere from 600-950 patients during the entire week. I could be doing anything from giving children scabies and lice wash to asking patient's their medical history and assessing their needs, handing out medications as prescribed, helping with medical procedures and always praying. My goal is to raise $2,000.

Ben Johnson
"I will be serving as the male RUF intern at Erskine College in Due West, SC for the 2013-2015 school years. I have already had the opportunity to visit this community and worship with Erskine’s RUF, and I am excited to become part of this faith community. While I will be the one going to Erskine, I want you to be part of this ministry with me. There are two ways in which you could partner with me to ensure that students at Erskine are being reached for Christ: prayer and support. Please pray for me and consider donating at ruf.org/donate. Thank you and God bless."
I met Ben through RUF in college and I was excited to find out he was doing the RUF internship after graduating May 2013. I hope you will take part in joining me to support his ministry to the students at Erskine College. To find out more about Ben, you can read his blog here.
